“There is no favorable wind for the sailor who doesn’t know where to go.” — Seneca

Each year, for the past decade, I’ve performed an annual review and plan. Some years, it’s been simple—taking no longer than an hour or two. Other years, I’ve spent 3-4 days reviewing and planning.

Over this time, and through many iterations, I’ve landed on what works for me. An in-depth, highly introspective review & planning process that enables me to “close” the year and orient myself for the next. A process that leads to clarity, alignment, confidence and motivation.

That process is exactly what’s shared and detailed in this document. You’ll find the structure, prompts, questions, and principles that I use.

If you landed on this document from somewhere other than YouTube, then you may want to check out my detailed annual review & planning walkthrough.
